After the Stork has made our transition from expecting to parenthood an absolute delight. One always hears from other parents how difficult the first few weeks are and I can safely say that ours has been amazingly easy. After The Stork has been a true gift to our family and one of the best decisions we ever made! We originally signed on for 4 weeks of support when our daughter was born and ended up extending for another 4 weeks because the care was just that incredible. Every doula we worked with was warm, attentive, and caring. We trusted them wholeheartedly with our baby. They taught us so many things about being parents. It's the education you wish you got in the hospital in the comfort of your own home. When our daughter hit the 4-month sleep regression, the After The Stork team was so accommodating and quickly got us reconnected with one of our previous doulas, Joyce, who came back for a few nights to help us get her on a more predictable sleep schedule. Her knowledge and care during this time was invaluable and lifesaving. Not only did our doulas provide wonderful care for our daughter, but they also helped keep the house running smoothly overnight (tidying up, doing dishes and laundry, washing bottles) all the things that make a massive difference when you’re exhausted as new parents. The team behind the scenes is just as incredible: responsive, kind, and so accommodating in every interaction. Working with them made the newborn period feel manageable and supported in a way I didn’t know was possible. If you're reading this, hire a doula with After the Stork. It will be the best decision you make for yourself and your new baby. A few months before our son was born, I saw something online about doulas. I'd never heard of such a service before. I did a quick Google search to see if there were any in our area and After the Stork popped up. After speaking with Georgette and her team, we knew hiring a doula was the right move for our family. It was certainly a luxury, but having a doula was worth every penny. Our doula, Lyndsay, was amazing. From the first night she walked in the door, we knew she was the perfect fit. She is warm, bubbly, and friendly; as a new mom, it was nice to have another mom to talk to after a long day with the baby! We looked forward to the nights that Lyndsay was here because we knew our son would be in good hands. It was such a relief to get a full night's sleep and have someone with so much experience to answer the millions of questions we had as new parents. We appreciated the detailed notes she left after each shift. She washed bottles, did laundry, and restocked diaper stations. The house was always clean when she left. Overall, we cannot thank Lyndsay enough for all that she did for our family. Our dogs really loved her too and looked forward to the nights she was here. We will all miss her dearly. My husband and I cannot say enough good things about After the Stork! We were paired with two night doula’s, Amy and Lindsay, for the first 6 weeks of bringing our first child home! As new parents, we couldn’t have asked for more kind, patient, and knowledgeable doulas to help guide us through those first few weeks with our daughter. Since this was our first experience, I wasn’t sure how we were going to feel having someone look after our baby girl - but I was blown away with the love and effort both Amy and Lindsay showed not just her, but also me! From helping me navigate nursing and introducing pumping, and finding a routine that worked for us while providing little observations and recommendations to help as our baby girl grew - was priceless! Amy and Lindsay felt like family and  took care of us  and our home so well. Cleaning dishes, bottles, folding laundry and restocking the nursery stations was amazing. Truly nothing like waking up the next morning to a tidy kitchen! I truly wish they never had to leave us, but will forever be touched and thankful for the huge impact they had on our family!! When I found out I was pregnant with baby #3 and going to have a 3rd c section I knew I would need help in the early days. After interviewing every doula / service in the bucks county area we landed on After The Stork and were lucky enough to be paired with Lyndsay. She showed up night one and showered us with warmth and calming presence that immediately made us feel at ease.  Not only did she sit with us to understand our baby but she truly took care of us as parents too. Without asking she would make sure our kitchen was tidied & laundry was folded, knowing how helpful that would be for us with 2 other kids. We had initially scheduled for her to be with us 6 weeks and kept extending until she literally couldn’t stay because she had a new family to take care of. Lyndsay is exceptional. Her knowledge, kindness, and intuition are unmatched, and her presence truly lights up the room. She has a gift for making even the hardest nights feel manageable. We are so incredibly grateful for the care and support we received from our doula, Lyndsay. From the moment she began working with our family, her passionate, nurturing presence brought such peace of mind—especially with our preemie, who needed extra attention and gentleness in those early days. Lyndsay was not only attentive to every detail of our baby’s needs but also deeply tuned in to how we as parents were adjusting. Her nighttime care was absolutely invaluable—it gave us the rest we desperately needed, knowing our little one was in the most capable, loving hands. Lyndsay's passion for what she does shines through in every interaction. Her dedication, warmth, and attentiveness made all the difference in helping us transition into parenthood. She brought reassurance, guidance, and a sense of care that we didn’t know we needed until she was there. We always felt heard and supported. We also want to give a special thank you to Christa, who occasionally filled in and provided the same high level of compassionate care and a sense of calm to our home. Having both Lyndsay and Christa as part of our support system made an overwhelming time so much more manageable. We absolutely LOVED working with Jen. She was with us from our first night home from the hospital until our little one turned 10 weeks. She took such good care of our child and on top of that helped us keep the house running and tidy (baby laundry, bottles, etc.) there are not enough words to express how truly special Jen is! She’s an asset to the company and if you can request her, you should. We had Cara and Brielle a couple times who also impressed us. There were two other people we had as back ups that we were not impressed with. I appreciate that Ashley and the other back office folks are very responsive when you provide feedback, but when it comes to your kid,  certain things are just not okay. TLDR: read the reviews. We had a great experience for 8 weeks with After the Stork. We were able to be accommodated with a start the night we came home from the hospital despite delivering a bit before my due date and an extended hospitalization for my daughter. Newborn support helped us have more sleep and bandwidth to help our oldest settle in, while help with laundry, kitchen tidying, etc had us feeling like we had a fairy godmother helping in the night.
